Sharing Knowledge and Experience is Power

Welcome to the Power Sharing Blog

Traveling around the world and meeting with many of you has been a rich and rewarding experience for me.  As we've sat together and and shared ideas about various topics, I have marveled at the level of thought and expertise that exists in the power industry, especially among its leaders - you.  Wouldn't it be powerful if that collective knowledge could be shared more widely?

The power industry is unique in many ways but perhaps the most defining feature is the willingness of stakeholders to cooperate together in an effort to achieve efficiency and safety.  Maybe this stems from the great relationships that have been built as you have worked together for many years.  Maybe it comes from the desire to make a difference in an industry that virtually everyone in the world depends upon.  Whatever your motivation, I thought it would be a good idea to create a forum where we could all share experiences, ideas and opinions that "keep the lights on" in the safest, most efficient way possible.

But this blog is not for just anyone.  It is limited to those in upper management at power companies.  And you can be sure that NO information will be shared about you without your permission. No ads.  No bling. Just ideas and information.

So please subscribe to this blog and participate.  Just a few ground rules:
  1. Be direct but civil.  Mean people suck, and they are never taken seriously.  Abusive comments will be moderated out.
  2. Keep it clean.  Avoid the use of foul language.
  3. Add VALUE.  No one likes it when we prattle on about things that don't matter very much.  The intent of this blog is to share ideas about what works and what doesn't.  Often a paragraph or two will do, or even a headline or link.

Thanks! And I hope to hear from you about what matters most.
